SLIDE DECK TEMPLATE
When I first started as the Marketing and Advertising Associate Creative Director the sales team had very little creative support when making their sales presentations. They often resorted to using strange screenshots, mismatching fonts, and any colors they deemed appropriate. I wanted to help but could not oversee each design due to the volume and speed at which they were being created. This problem sparked the idea of an extensive template filled with all the resources one would need to make a beautiful, clear, and branded presentation.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
My first step was to research what kinds of presentations the sales team frequently uses. I did this through multiple meetings where I listened to the needs of the team and collected commonly used slide deck information. I then researched highly rated templates to provide inspiration for our custom solution.
Along with the slide designs I included a collection of over 150 drag-and-drop icons, a number of custom illustrations, and color options to help bring their presentations to life while staying on-brand.

I then created a template that includes over 30 starter layouts that can be easily edited and updated by anyone for any topic. Along with the design, I also included footnotes to help the individuals know how to best utilize each type of slide and general principles for the best visual outcome.
I hosted a working session with the entire sales team and walked them through how best to utilize the template. I collected feedback and common difficulties they faced while using it. I used this feedback to refine the template further. I continued to track and monitor the progress and success of the template as they were used in action.
Countless hours and dollars have been saved due to this innovation. Because of it, my team no longer feels the need to oversee presentation design, and the sales team can place more effort into their roles instead of spending their time laying out slides. The impact this has had on the client's perception is hard to measure but I feel confident that it greatly serves to further Health Union's business efforts and brand perception.
